Minutes of a special meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Olive held Monday, July 12, 2004, 7:30 pm at the Town Meeting Hall, Bostock Road, in Shokan, NY. The purpose of the meeting as stated in the legal notice is to interview a representative from Cole Layer Trumble Company for the purposes of revaluation services of all real property for the 2006 Assessment Roll.

Appraisal Services
Assessor Michael Sommer stated he contacted several revaluation companies and introduced Robert Marshall of Cole Layer Trumble noting they have done work in the New York area.
Mr. Marshall presented correspondence #68-04 outlining a proposed revaluation cost of $195,000.00 to include supervision of data collectors and quality control, two attempts on-site visit for data verification, letter mailing to property owner after two attempts, scheduling and conducting appointments, data entry and mailers, digital images, development of valuation tables, residential market model, field review of proposed values, assessment disclosure notice, schedule and conduct informal reviews, and supplies. The Town would be responsible for providing office space and phone service, RPS software V.4, use of office equipment photocopying machines, printers, and fax. Mr. Marshall stated they would handle commercial and residential properties and would not deal with City of New York properties. He stated his company would review values with the town that ORPS provides and will handle public relations.
In response to questions from the Town Board, Mr. Marshall stated his company could be prepared to start in early spring of 2005 with a completion target date of June 1st 2006 final assessment roll.
All business pertinent having been discussed the Town Board adjourned at 9:00 pm on a Leifeld/Chase motion.
